Charles Schwab in San Francisco is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design and deliver GenAI applications that enhance the client journey and create tangible business value.

You'll collaborate with architects, engineers, and business leaders to align solutions with enterprise standards, mentor junior engineers, and drive reliability, observability, and rapid iteration from concept to production.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience, with 4+ years as a hands-on senior engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years building complex products in production with reliability.
• 3+ years building apps leveraging AI models for measurable business impact.
• 3+ years developing data pipelines with large datasets.
• 3+ years working with containers and cloud-native apps with infrastructure as code.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver GenAI applications improving client experience.
• Champion reliability, monitoring, observability for AI systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with enterprise standards.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers to promote best practices.
• Lead rapid iteration from concept to deployment.
• Implement monitoring and incident response for system health.
• Advance engineering standards and quality across deliverables.
