Job summary

Bank of America is seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to define and lead the engineering approach for complex GenAI-enabled features. You will shape the technology stack, enable CI/CD, and drive scalable, secure cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

The role requires 7+ years in cloud/DevOps, strong multi-cloud and container expertise, and a track record of delivering scalable distributed systems with high availability and observability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in cloud engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps/SRE roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP (multi-cloud preferred), container platforms (Kubernetes, EKS, AKS, GKE), and infrastructure-as-code/CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven experience designing and operating highly scalable distributed systems and containerized workloads in production cloud environments.
• Expertise in scaling strategies (autoscaling, load balancing, horizontal scaling), performance tuning, cloud-native architectures and microservices.
• Experience with observability tools (metrics, logging, distributed tracing) and reliability engineering (high availability, disaster recovery).

Responsibilities

• Ensures the design and engineering approach for complex features aligns with the larger portfolio solution.
• Define the technology tool stack for the solution and evaluate new testing tools/frameworks/practices.
• Enable CI/CD capabilities and collaborate with stakeholders for efficient CI/CD pipeline functioning.
• Guide teams on design and best practices for high code performance (pairing, code reviews).
• Deliver end-to-end complex features for one or multiple teams at the program level.
• Conduct research, prototyping and exploration of new toolsets for release management, CI/CD, and features.
• Work with stakeholders to establish high-level solution needs with architects for technical requirements.
• Build and operate the cloud infrastructure layer for GenAI platform across AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Design, implement, and manage containerized environments (Kubernetes and managed services like EKS/AKS/GKE).
• Develop and maintain scalable deployment and release pipelines.
• Engineer highly scalable cloud architectures.
