Job summary

Bank of America is seeking an experienced Cloud/GenAI Platform Engineer to define and lead the engineering approach for complex GenAI-enabled features. You will design the technology stack, enable CI/CD, and guide teams to deliver scalable, production-grade cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

This role emphasizes collaboration with architects and stakeholders to ensure secure, reliable deployments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in cloud engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps/SRE roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP (multi-cloud experience preferred).
• Container platforms (Kubernetes, EKS, AKS, GKE).
• Infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven experience designing and operating highly scalable distributed systems.
• Containerized workloads in production cloud environments.
• Expertise in scaling strategies (autoscaling, load balancing, horizontal scaling).
• Performance tuning and system optimization.
• Cloud-native architectures and microservices.
• Experience with observability tools (metrics, logging, distributed tracing).
• Reliability engineering (high availability, fault tolerance, disaster recovery).
• Experience supporting AI/ML or GenAI workloads is a plus.
• Familiarity with vector databases, data pipelines, or retrieval-based architectures.
• Experience in regulated enterprise environments and multi-tenant platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the engineering approach for complex features to deliver significant business outcomes.
• Define the technology tool stack for the solution and evaluate new testing tools/frameworks.
• Enable CI/CD capabilities and coordinate with stakeholders for efficient CI/CD workflows.
• Guide teams on design and best practices for high code performance.
• Deliver end-to-end complex features across one or more teams at program level.
• Conduct research, prototyping and explore new toolsets for release management and CI/CD.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define high-level solution needs and work with architects on technical requirements.
• Build and operate the cloud infrastructure layer for GenAI platform across AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Design, implement, and manage containerized environments (Kubernetes, managed services).
• Develop and maintain scalable deployment and release pipelines.
• Engineer highly scalable cloud architectures.
