Job summary

Worky is seeking an experienced AI/ML engineer to design, build, and operationalize scalable GenAI solutions in a HIPAA-regulated healthcare setting. You will work across AWS Bedrock, GCP Vertex AI, serverless compute, and vector search to deliver impactful models for members and providers.

The role blends hands-on engineering with architecture and cross-functional leadership, focusing on data privacy, governance, and responsible AI while guiding cloud-native architectures and MLOps.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in large-scale software development.
• 5+ years solution architecture or system design experience.
• 5+ years building large-scale microservices/APIs using Node.js.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with GCP and AWS (serverless, event-driven, AI/ML).

Responsibilities

• Drives development and implementation of advanced ML models and algorithms.
• Collaborates with data scientists, clinicians, and IT professionals to define projects and priorities.
• Interfaces with stakeholders to define performance metrics and evaluation methodologies.
• Designs scalable ML systems including data pipelines, preprocessing, and feature engineering.
• Advises on data pipelines, model training, and infrastructure improvements.
• Presents technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations and Responsible AI standards.
• Manages team performance and provides feedback and reviews.
• Stays updated on ML advancements and evaluates new techniques.
