Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Senior Generative AI Engineer in Charlotte, NC to design and implement enterprise-grade AI platforms. You will build LLM-powered applications, AI agents, and automation workflows to streamline operations and customer requests.

The role focuses on RAG architectures, Document AI/IDP, and containerized cloud deployments, working closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities and ensure governance and reliability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of AI/ML/Generative AI/Intelligent Automation experience.
• 3+ years of Python and AI development with LangChain, LangGraph, agent-based architectures.
• 3+ years of Document AI/IDP solutions experience.
• Strong track record deploying LLM-powered applications and RAG solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop LLM-powered applications, AI agents, and intelligent automation solutions using Python, LangGraph, and LangChain.
• Build and optimize RAG architectures to support enterprise use cases.
• Implement Document AI and Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) with OCR, PDF parsing, data extraction, validation, and semantic matching.
• Develop agent-driven workflows to automate business processes and customer interactions.
• Integrate REST APIs and microservices in a containerized, cloud-driven environment.
• Assist in AI model selection, tuning, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and improve efficiency.
• Participate in architecture reviews and AI governance discussions.

Role Overview

This role supports enterprise-wide Generative AI initiatives for Commercial Banking and Corporate & Investment Banking. The team is focused on building intelligent automation solutions that leverage AI agents, machine learning models, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures to automate operational processes and corporate customer requests. The engineer will design, build, and optimize AI-powered platforms that replace manual operational workflows through agent orchestration, document processing, and intelligent workflow automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop LLM-powered applications, AI agents, and intelligent automation solutions using Python, LangGraph, and LangChain.
• Build and optimize RAG architectures to support enterprise use cases.
• Implement Document AI and Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions involving OCR, PDF parsing, data extraction, validation, and semantic matching.
• Develop agent-driven workflows that automate business processes, such as customer intent identification and information validation.
• Develop integrations through REST APIs and microservices in a highly containerized, cloud-driven environment.
• Support AI model selection, implementation, tuning, testing, and operational deployment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and improve operational efficiency.
• Participate in architecture reviews and discussions on AI governance and control frameworks.
• Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve platform reliability and performance.
• Document technical designs, implementation approaches, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Generative AI, or Intelligent Automation solutions.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Python and AI development frameworks, including LangChain, LangGraph, and agent-based architectures.
• 3+ years of experience implementing Document AI / Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions.
• Strong experience building and deploying LLM-powered applications, AI agents, and RAG solutions.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Python, LangGraph, and LangChain.
• Experience with document extraction, OCR, PDF parsing, data extraction, confidence scoring, and rule-based validation.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and containerized environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MongoDB and Kafka.
• Experience in highly regulated environments with AI governance requirements.
• Cloud-native deployment and containerization experience.
• Background in automating operational workflows and customer service processes.
