Job summary

Capital One is pursuing responsible, reliable AI systems to transform banking. As an AI Engineer 4 in the IFX team, you will partner with engineers, researchers, and PMs to deliver AI-powered products that impact millions of customers.

You will design, develop, train, deploy, and monitor AI software components, focusing on model optimization, governance, and observability across a scalable platform.

Qualifications

• BS in CS/AI/EE or related field with 4+ years experience, or MS with 2+ years.
• Experience programming with Python, Go, Scala, CUDA, or Java.
• Experience deploying AI/ML algorithms or technologies in production.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components (foundation model training, LLM inference, agents).
• Leverage Open Source and SaaS AI technologies (AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, PyTorch).
• Own end-to-end architecture for complex AI systems with maintainability and observability.
