Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, Idaho, seeks a GEL Equipment Maintenance Technician to monitor, sustain, and improve semiconductor manufacturing tools in a dynamic lab environment.

You will collaborate with Shift Operations, area equipment engineers, and tool vendors, perform preventative maintenance, identify performance gaps, and contribute to safety and tool availability. This role offers a path to advancing equipment reliability in a leading memory and storage solutions company.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, or Robotics or equivalent technical experience.
• 4 years of experience maintaining manufacturing equipment, automation, and/or related systems.
• Experience using mechanical, electronic, and PC/software (Windows/Linux) tools to repair manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with shift operations, equipment engineers, and vendors to maintain tool performance and safety.
• Identify performance gaps and implement improvements while documenting deviations.
• Maintain clean and organized lab area and follow housekeeping protocols to protect product quality.
• Lead or participate in projects to improve equipment availability within scope, schedule, and budget.
