Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a skilled GCP Platform Support Engineer with SRE and CI/CD emphasis to ensure reliability and performance of cloud-based applications on Google Cloud Platform. You will collaborate with development teams to implement pipelines, monitor systems, and troubleshoot in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Functions
• 3+ years experience with SRE principles and practices, including monitoring, incident management, and performance optimization
• 3+ years experienc with CI/CD tools and practices, including experience with Google Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar
• 3+ years experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker
• 3+ years experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Google Deployment Manager)
• 3+ years experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Google Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work under pressure
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for GCP-based applications and services, ensuring high availability and performance
• Automate repetitive tasks and processes using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Google Deployment Manager)
• Implement security best practices for cloud resources, including IAM, data encryption, and network
• Monitor and manage cloud resources, including VMs, containers, databases, and networking
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Google Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar
• Set up and manage monitoring and alerting systems using Google Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, or Grafana
• Participate in incident response and post-mortem analysis to identify root causes and preventive measures
• SRE best practices, including SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets
• Work with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications
• Create and maintain documentation for system architecture, processes, and procedures
