Job summary

A-TEK, Inc. seeks a GCP Engineer to support a federal client in Silver Spring, MD. You will deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot Google Cloud Platform infrastructure across agency workloads, ensuring scalable, secure services.

The role requires hands-on GCP experience, Terraform, Linux administration, and scripting. Onsite work with government-approved telework options; collaborative, mission-driven team environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of systems or infrastructure engineering experience.
• At least 2 years of hands-on GCP deployment and operations.
• Experience with Terraform or comparable IaC, Linux administration, and Bash or Python scripting.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or a government-approved qualifying substitution.
• Ability to communicate technical plans and risks clearly, coordinate across customer and contractor teams.

Responsibilities

• Provision and support GCP compute, storage, networking, and managed services for assigned workloads.
• Configure and troubleshoot VPC networks, subnets, firewall rules, load balancing, and private connectivity.
• Manage assigned IAM roles, service accounts, and secrets using established access and security controls.
• Build and maintain infrastructure automation using Terraform, gcloud CLI, and scripting; support repeatable deployments and controlled changes.
• Monitor infrastructure health, logs, performance, and capacity; troubleshoot incidents and maintain operational documentation.
• Coordinate connectivity and dependencies between GCP, OCI, and other environments; support migration and resilience activities as assigned.
