Job summary

Accenture Federal Services is seeking a GCP Engineer to support federal agency modernization by building, deploying, and maintaining secure cloud environments. You’ll work under a lead architect, using Terraform to create reusable modules and secure configurations across compute, networking, and security domains.

Role emphasizes hands‑on experience with GCP core services, GKE, Cloud Run for Python services, and strong IAM controls. The position targets Arlington, VA with federal compliance focus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six (6) years setting up, configuring and using GCP cloud operational tools to ensure SLAs and policy compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or technical discipline
• Experience in GCP core services, including Compute Engine for Linux and Windows
• Proven ability to deploy, manage, and scale containerized apps with GKE; Cloud Run for Python services
• Strong understanding of cloud networking (VPC, DNS, Load Balancing, hybrid connectivity, firewall rules)
• Advanced knowledge of IAM, including Workload Identity Federation; Secret Manager, Pub/Sub, VPC Service Controls, and VM Binary Authorization
• Experience in IaC & Automation with Terraform; CI/CD pipelines via Cloud Build and GitHub Actions
• Advanced operations and troubleshooting: monitoring, logging, and SOP/runbook creation

Responsibilities

• Hands‑on work across compute, networking, security, and automation to ensure predictable GCP operations compliant with federal frameworks.
• Collaborate under a lead architect to deploy and maintain secure cloud environments.
• Develop reusable IaC modules and enforce secure configurations.
• Create and maintain architecture diagrams, runbooks, and SOPs.
