Job summary

A-TEK, Inc. is seeking a GCP Engineer to support a federal client based in Silver Spring, MD. The candidate will deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot Google Cloud Platform infrastructure to support the agency’s applications and data services.

This onsite role requires 4+ years in systems or infrastructure engineering with hands-on GCP, Terraform, Linux administration, and scripting. You will collaborate with OCI engineers, DBAs, developers, and security staff to deliver reliable, secure cloud

Qualifications

4+ years of systems or infrastructure engineering experience with GCP.
Hands-on GCP computing, networking, IAM, monitoring and troubleshooting.
Experience with Terraform or IaC, Linux administration, and scripting.
Bachelor’s degree or government-approved qualifying substitution.

Responsibilities

Provision and support GCP compute, storage, networking for workloads.
Configure and troubleshoot VPCs, firewalls, load balancing, and private connectivity.
Manage IAM roles, service accounts, and secrets safely.
Build infrastructure automation with Terraform, gcloud CLI, and scripting.
Monitor health, logs, performance, and capacity; document changes.
Coordinate between GCP, OCI and other environments; assist migrations.
