Job summary

ADVATIX - Advanced Supply Chain and Logistics is seeking a hands-on Principal GCP Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of large-scale data ecosystems on Google Cloud. You will drive enterprise data platforms with a focus on governance, security, and scalable architectures.

Ideal candidates have 18–20 years in data engineering/BI, exclusivity with GCP, and a proven track record migrating complex workloads to the cloud.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, and BI leadership.
• Proven track record migrating large-scale workloads to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Deep knowledge of data governance, security, and enterprise data platforms.
• Hands-on with IaC and modern data tooling such as dbt, Airflow, and Kubernetes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define the long-term roadmap for enterprise data platforms on GCP aligned to business goals.
• Design self-service data architectures with centralized governance and security standards.
• Lead PB-scale cloud migrations, including AWS-to-GCP transitions.
• Architect data ecosystems to support PB-scale workloads and analytics needs.
• Implement governance and security frameworks (IAM, VPC Service Controls, encryption).
• Drive IaC practices using Terraform or Pulumi for repeatable infrastructure.
• Collaborate with data/software engineers, security, and leadership; mentor teams.
