Job summary

American Jereh International Corporation is seeking a senior Controls Engineer – Gas Turbine in Houston, TX. You will lead design and optimization of turbine control logic, work with cross‑functional teams, and guide diagnostics and commissioning.

The role calls for extensive experience with gas turbine controls, especially Frame 6B, and a strong background in control platforms and thermodynamics. On-site role supporting customers and projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls/Automation or related field.
• 2 years in power generation, industrial rotating machinery, or similar.
• Senior-level experience in gas turbine engine control systems engineering.
• Expertise in control algorithms, sequencing, safety systems and monitoring.
• Proficiency with major control platforms (Mark VI/VIe or equivalent).
• Ability to lead troubleshooting and diagnostics for complex systems.
• Strong understanding of gas turbine thermodynamics and operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and enhancement of gas turbine control logic and sequences.
• Serve as SME for turbine controls to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and root-cause analysis.
• Support upgrades, retrofits, and modernization projects; validate performance.
• Review engineering docs: P&IDs, logic diagrams, control narratives, I/O lists.
• Provide oversight during commissioning, tuning, and validation of controls.
• Participate in design reviews and risk assessments for safety and reliability.
• Develop and maintain control specifications and test procedures.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and field service teams.
• Offer technical support to customers, operators, and field teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal training.
