This role requires extensive experience in gas turbine controls engineering, including control logic development, tuning, troubleshooting, and system optimization. Candidates must have senior-level expertise, with strong preference for those experienced with Frame 6B gas turbine platforms. The engineer will collaborate with product engineering, field service, and operations teams to ensure reliable system performance and support customer needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and enhancement of gas turbine control system logic, algorithms, and functional sequences.
- Serve as the technical subject‑matter expert for turbine controls, providing senior-level guidance to internal engineering teams and external stakeholders.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and root‑cause analysis for control system issues in operating gas turbine units.
- Support upgrades, retrofits, and modernization projects, including evaluating system compatibility, defining control strategies, and validating system performance.
- Review and interpret engineering documents, including P&IDs, logic diagrams, control narratives, I/O lists, and system architecture drawings.
- Provide senior-level engineering oversight during commissioning, tuning, and validation of gas turbine control systems.
- Participate in design reviews and risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety, performance, and reliability standards.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation such as specifications, control logic descriptions, and system test procedures.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing, and field service, to ensure integrated system functionality.
- Provide technical support to customers, operators, and field teams regarding control system operation, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal training programs related to turbine controls.
Minimum Qualifications
