Job summary

Pacific Gas and Electric Company seeks an Operator Qualification evaluator to administer and oversee gas qualification exams and field evaluations. You will mentor staff, ensuring safe procedures and accurate records in a dynamic gas operations environment.

Location flexibility within Bay Area cities and onsite work with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and test development. Requires travel up to 80% and strong safety and coaching skills.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required with 5 years in a technical trade.
• BA/BS degree in engineering or a technical discipline preferred.
• Strong knowledge of safety practices and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Proctors Gas OQ evaluations per CFR 49.192(N) and GO112 guidelines.
• Coaches performance and administration of complex evaluations and tests.
• Prepares employees for written/computer testing and field observations.
• Shares outcomes and trends with supervisors to drive improvement.
• Ensures qualification records comply with program requirements.
• Contributes to development of new evaluation tests and processes.
• Mentors less experienced team members.
