Job summary

Utility Technologies International is seeking an Operator Qualification (OQ) Evaluator to conduct computer-based tests and hands-on evaluations for operators, contractors, and service staff on natural gas facilities. The role involves working from a home office with periodic travel to nearby states.

The candidate will assess compliance with 49 CFR Parts 192 and company policies, coordinate with internal teams, and maintain accurate records while ensuring safety and regulatory standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comfortable and judgement-free testing environment.
• Operate computer-based testing and iPad for skill submittals.
• Understand applicable state and federal Operator Qualification regulations.
• Implement the operator's policies and procedures.
• Be qualified by ITS, EWN, NiSource, Veriforce, Centerpoint to perform evaluations.
• Follow all safety procedures related to the tasks.
• Evaluate tasks such as Plastic Pipe Joining, Utility Locating, Corrosion Control, Leak Survey, Installation of Customer Service Lines and Meters, Pipeline Installation, Maintenance, and Operation.
