Job summary

Fermi America is seeking a senior project leader to own a large natural gas generation project from FEED through FID, construction, commissioning, and turnover to Operations. You will direct EPC contractors, manage safety, cost, and schedule, and ensure adherence to permits and codes.

The candidate will bring 15+ years in gas power delivery, 5+ years in leadership, and a BS in a related engineering field. Preference for experience with major OEMs and EPCs.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in natural gas power generation project delivery.
• At least 5 years in a management or leadership role with direct accountability for project outcome.
• Experience on a natural gas fired generation project of 300 MW+ from contract award to COD.

Responsibilities

• Own front end development: FEED, basis of design, estimate, and sanction package for FID.
• Manage EPC contracts and equipment supply agreements as owner representative.
• Negotiate changes and defend company position on cost and schedule claims.
• Oversee cost forecasting, Primavera P6 scheduling, contingency, and executive reporting.
• Review design, resolve technical issues, ensure code and permit compliance.
• Oversee construction, systems completion, turnover, and commissioning through initial fire and testing.
