Job summary

PSEG in New Brunswick seeks a Sr. Distribution Supervisor to lead gas distribution facility construction, operation and maintenance.

You will ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with company standards while directing a team to meet objectives. The role requires 6 years of relevant experience including 3 in supervision, a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business Management, and strong skills in leadership, communication, and planning.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 6 years relevant work experience, including 3 years as a First Line Supervisor.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills including written and oral communication; ability to achieve results in challenging situations.
• Experience in the planning/layout/construction/operation/maintenance of gas distribution facilities.
• Experience and understanding of Collective Bargaining agreements.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Strong knowledge of SAP and CAD.
• Strong knowledge of Gas Distribution Standards.
• Safety Sensitive Position - D.O.T. Testing Required.
• Demonstrated planning and organizational skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a safe driving history.
• Must obtain an acceptable score on the First Line Supervisor’s Test (FLST) unless internal supervision rules apply.
• Compliance with 10 CFR 810 regulations.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business Management.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision in construction, operation and maintenance of Gas Distribution facilities.
• Apply PSEG core commitments and ensure teamwork to achieve results.
• Manage day-to-day operations and oversee safe work environment.
• Assist in developing objectives and budgets within variances.
• Ensure work quality and regulatory compliance in all activities.
• Maximize system reliability through planning and scheduling.
• Develop staff and bargaining unit associates to meet goals.
• Coach, counsel and recognize staff; manage on-call coverage.
• Perform duties for storm/outage restoration as needed.
