Job summary

Pacific Gas and Electric Company seeks a Senior Gas Engineer to provide technical leadership for Transmission and Distribution Gas Control. The role assesses operational risk, strengthens alarm and change management, and supports abnormal operations to improve safety, reliability and continuity.

The position may require ~10% travel and is hybrid, with work from a remote office and an assigned location based on business need. Salary ranges are disclosed as a Bay Area compensation band.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Job-related experience, 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate to complex engineering work and projects.
• Expands knowledge in other areas of specialty or discipline, developing breadth or further develops expertise and specialization on one area.
• Provides engineering and technical solutions by using existing tools, methods, approaches and tactics in new ways or by modifying and improving them.
• Evaluates methodologies, best practices, tools, processes, procedures and technology assessing potential fit, benefits, and impacts for engineering work and projects assigned
• Presents engineering research, findings solutions and recommendations to leadership
• Works independently under limited direction and guidance
• May provide training, guidance, instruction and coaching to other Engineers

Education
