Job summary

PG&E in the Bay Area seeks a Senior Gas Engineer to provide technical leadership in Transmission and Distribution Gas Control. You will assess operational risk, strengthen alarm and change management, and support abnormal and emergency operations to improve safety and reliability.

The role leads moderate to complex projects, translates complex information into actionable recommendations, and may supervise teams or initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
Job-related experience, 5 years.

Responsibilities

Performs moderate to complex engineering work and projects
Expands knowledge in other areas of specialty or discipline, developing breadth or further develops expertise and specialization on one area.
Provides engineering and technical solutions by using existing tools, methods, approaches and tactics in new ways or by modifying and improving them.
Evaluates methodologies, best practices, tools, processes, procedures and technology assessing potential fit, benefits, and impacts for engineering work and projects assigned
Presents engineering research, findings solutions and recommendations to leadership
Works independently under limited direction and guidance
May provide training, guidance, instruction and coaching to other Engineers
