National Grid in Melville, NY seeks a Lead Project Manager for NY Gas Project Management to oversee a portfolio of large capital projects delivering safe, reliable natural gas services across Downstate NY. You will lead planning, governance, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, operations, and regulatory teams.

The role requires strong leadership, a track record of delivering complex projects on time and on budget, and experience navigating union environments and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; MBA preferred.
• 7+ years in project management and construction within utilities.
• PM certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Manage a $50M–$100M portfolio of capital projects in Downstate NY.
• Develop project scope, budget, schedule, and resource plan.
• Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery; manage documents and approvals.
• Coordinate accounting, cost forecasting and construction functions.
• Interface with senior staff, executives, and external stakeholders.
• Negotiate change orders with design teams and contractors.
• Prepare regular progress reports to team and stakeholders.
• Oversee project closeout and regulatory compliance.
• Operate in a union environment.
