Job summary

National Grid is seeking a senior Project Manager to provide leadership and direction to project teams delivering utility construction and modernization initiatives. You will be responsible for governance, scope management, schedules and budgets across gas distribution and transmission projects.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations and Asset Management, drive risk mitigation, report progress weekly and monthly, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards while

Qualifications

• 10+ years of project management experience
• Bachelor's degree in engineering/management or related field
• Master’s degree preferred
• PMI/ PMP certification preferred
• Experience delivering complex projects and leading teams
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills
• Experience with financial management
• Valid driver's license with clean history

Responsibilities

• Manage gas distribution and transmission pipeline, regulator station, and related projects.
• Deliver approved scope, cost estimates, schedules, and resource plans.
• Control scope, cost, quality, and schedule; manage risk.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety and company standards.
• Oversee permits and project closure activities.
• Provide weekly and monthly project reporting.
• Forecast project outcomes and assure savings.
• Promote teamwork and efficient resource use across the organization.
• Support Engineering, Operations, Asset Management, Environmental, and other groups.
