Job summary

Pueblo of San Felipe is seeking an experienced Compliance Auditor to monitor the gaming enterprise for adherence to Federal, State, and Tribal laws and regulations. You will conduct audits, prepare comprehensive reports for the Executive Director, and oversee internal controls to safeguard assets.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of federal, state, tribal law and Indian Gaming regulations.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents such as financial reports and legal documents.
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills for reports and procedures.
• Proficiency in records management and basic accounting procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor casino operations for compliance with federal, state, tribal laws and regulations.
• Perform audits and inspections of the gaming enterprise and personnel.
• Provide reports and documents to the Executive Director documenting compliance.
• Monitor deadlines and evaluate internal controls and game rules for accountability and safeguarding assets.
• Review requests to purchase gaming equipment prior to Gaming Commissioners action.
• Conduct investigations of irregularities detected by audits or reported by sources.
• Review reports from government agencies and contracted audit firms and ensure responses address findings.
• Perform annual audits and semi-annual follow-ups to test integrity of gaming equipment.
• Review daily revenue audit reports for fluctuations and discrepancies.
• Audit casino promotions for compliance and fairness.
• Assist independent auditors as required.
• Issues violations as approved by the Executive Director and Gaming Commissioners.
