Job summary

Pueblo of San Felipe is seeking a Compliance Auditor to monitor the gaming enterprise for adherence to Federal, State, and Tribal laws, and to perform audits and inspections ensuring regulatory compliance and asset safeguarding.

You will prepare comprehensive reports for the Executive Director, review internal controls, and evaluate game rules, with occasional evening or weekend work as required. This role requires a strong knowledge of regulatory standards and ethics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/business or equivalent experience.
• Six years of gaming industry, regulatory compliance, or auditing experience.
• Knowledge of federal, state, tribal laws and Indian gaming regulations.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Willingness for evening/overnight/weekend work.
• NM driver’s license and background check.

Responsibilities

• Monitor gaming enterprise for compliance with Federal, State, Tribal laws and regulations.
• Conduct audits and inspections to assess compliance.
• Provide comprehensive reports to Executive Director and casino management regarding non-compliance.
• Monitor deadlines and evaluate internal controls, policies, procedures, and game rules.
• Review management's requests to purchase gaming equipment.
• Conduct special investigations of irregularities.
• Review reports from governmental agencies and contracted auditors.
• Perform annual audits and six-month follow-ups as required.
• Review daily revenue audit reports for discrepancies.
• Assist independent auditors as required.
• Issue violations as approved by Executive Director and Gaming Commissioners.
• Duties may be changed to meet business needs.
