Job summary

Insomniac Games is seeking a Senior Gameplay Animator for a 12-month contract via Yoh Enterprise Solutions. You will create top-tier gameplay animations, collaborating with Designers and Programmers to integrate them in the engine using Maya and proprietary tools.

You will work with motion capture data, perform hand-key animation, and contribute to hero traversal, combat, boss, camera cinematography, and open-world sequences at the highest level, under the direction of Animation Directors.

Qualifications

• Mathematics: ability to calculate figures and apply concepts of algebra and geometry.
• Computer skills: advanced knowledge of Maya, Insomniac proprietary tools (preferred), and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. MotionBuilder and Adobe Premiere a plus. Knowledge of common state machine flow in any game engine required.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality gameplay animations for characters, aligning with artistic direction and technical standards.
• Collaborate with Designers and Programmers to implement animations in engine using Maya and proprietary tools.
• Independently troubleshoot and resolve animation issues.
• Utilize motion capture data and hand key animation to create believable characters.
• Handle hero traversal, combat, boss, camera cinematography, and open world animations at the highest level with advanced engine tools.
• Work with the Animation team to ensure cohesive execution of the animation direction across the game and provide feedback.
• Communicate with Designers, Programmers, Writers, Project Managers, Art, Audio, Character and Rigging teams to resolve issues and achieve goals.
• Other duties may be assigned.
