Smoking Gun Interactive (SGI) is seeking a Senior Programmer to contribute across game development areas with a focus on full‑stack capability. You will mentor team members and help shape technical direction while delivering robust, modular code for immersive titles.

The role is remote with preference for candidates in BC/Greater Vancouver region. Strong C++/C#, math, and problem solving are essential, along with shipped game experience and a gamer mindset.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a programmer in game industry or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
• Shipped at least one game as a senior or lead programmer.
• Passion for games and being a gamer.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Lead Programmer and Technical Director to set a unified technology vision.
• Produce high-quality, efficient, modular code.
• Identify tasks and refactor or fix bugs proactively.
• Provide mentorship and training for programmers.
• Give and receive feedback on code quality (performance, readability, testability).
