Job summary

International Game Technology in Chicago is seeking a Game Mathematician to shape player experiences by designing and analyzing mathematical models at the core of our casino slot games. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across the full game development lifecycle.

• Test and validate game outcomes using Excel, simulations, and internal tools.
• Provide mathematical insights to development teams and ensure accuracy during production.
• Review documents for errors and typos.

What You Will Do: As a Game Mathematician, you will play a key role in shaping the player experience by creating, designing, and analyzing the mathematical models that is the core of our games. You will contribute across the full game development lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Working closely with Game Design leadership, designing and developing mathematical models for casino slot games, including RTP, volatility, and overall game behavior.
• Creating math for original titles for land-based slot games using Excel and/or programming math simulations/calculations.
• Producing clear and detailed mathematical documentation (math models, game logic)
• Testing and validating game outcomes using Excel, simulations, calculation programs, and internal tools
• Supporting development teams with mathematical insights and ensuring accuracy throughout production
• Review documents for error and misspellings.

Qualifications

The estimated starting compensation range for this role is $110,000-$150,000 annually USD, based on a good-faith assessment at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary. IGT complies with all applicable pay transparency and compensation laws and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable. Base pay is one component of IGT’s total rewards program. Depending on the role, employees may be eligible for bonus or commission opportunities.
