Estes Industries, LLC, based in Penrose, Colorado, is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The role encompasses general ledger activities, month-end close, and detailed financial reporting for a manufacturing environment, with emphasis on accuracy and GAAP compliance.

You will prepare journal entries, support reconciliations, analyze variances, and assist with budgeting and audits. Strong Excel, ERP experience (Dynamics 365 BC), and attention to detail are essential for

Qualifications

Three to five years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred but not required.
Strong organizational and analytical skills; able to manage multiple priorities.
Experience with enterprise-level accounting systems and GAAP reporting.
Excellent technical accounting skills; proficient with Excel and ERP systems.
Demonstrated ability to investigate accounting issues and prepare recommendations.

Responsabilités

Prepare monthly journal entries for revenue, expenses, accruals, and other accounts.
Complete reconciliations and balance sheet analyses with close deadlines.
Analyze variances and provide explanations for management reporting.
Prepare financial statements, workpapers, and schedules for auditors.
Support accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations.
Oversee depreciation and asset tracking; assist budgeting and financial systems.
Provide guidance to accounting staff and ensure GAAP compliance.
