Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Senior Funding Analyst organizes, delegates, and problem-solves the day-to-day workflows of the ASO Funding team. Major responsibilities include training staff on departmental processes, researching and responding to advanced internal and external inquiries regarding claim funding, and recommending and implementing process improvements. When necessary, this position supports team members in completing recurring tasks to ensure quality and timely KPI achievement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Audit and reconcile data between financial systems using Excel and other tools.
• Collaborate with the ASO Funding Manager to create and execute training plans for team members.
• Understand current systems infrastructure to assist team members and modify existing processes and systems to meet evolving needs.
• Own manual and complex stop loss calculations and audits.
• Post financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Identify, track, and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform weekly and monthly claim fund report reconciliations.
• Support departmental goals through special projects and other duties.
• Create and maintain process documentation and guides.
• Independently resolve funding and stop loss issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience required.

Experience and Skills

• 3+ years of Financial Operations experience in Accounting, Banking, or Billing.
• 1-2 years of funding or medical stop loss experience.
• Health Insurance Industry knowledge preferred.
• Intermediate or Advanced Excel skills required.
• Microsoft Access experience is a plus.
• Prior claims processing experience is a plus.
• Goal-oriented, self-motivated problem solver with high attention to financial details.
