The ideal candidate has 4+ years of equity research, strong Excel and Python skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with a risk-aware mindset.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of fundamental equity research experience, buy-side preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, CS, or related field.
• Valuation and financial modeling skills with strong Excel command.
• Equity options experience a plus; Python or other programming skills are advantageous.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; entrepreneurial, fast learner.

Responsibilities

• Conduct deep fundamental research on companies, industries and events.
• Own the desk's information edge by tracking earnings, guidance, actions and news.
• Analyze event plays focusing on timing, positioning, and price/volatility mapping.
• Pitch long/short, volatility and event-driven ideas to the desk and defend them.
• Build models, sheets and tooling powering research using AI and data stack.
• Develop relationships with analysts and networks to deepen access.
• Learn to express views in options space with index and single-name traders.
