Brown Advisory seeks a dynamic leader to head Fund Operations, overseeing private and hedge fund activities, vendor partnerships, and regulatory compliance. You will guide capital events, drive process improvements, and mentor a small team across offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Masters/Advanced Degree preferred.
• 8-12 years Fund Operations experience.
• Experience with alternative funds – Hedge Funds and Private Equity.
• Vendor contract negotiation experience.
• Management and creation of vendor service level agreements.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Superior written and oral communication skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Proactive mentality.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to handle confidential material with utmost discretion.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the oversight and strategic leadership of private and hedge fund operations.
• Lead vendor relationships with fund vendors and custodians, ensuring high client service and SLA adherence.
• Oversee capital activity for private fund vehicles: calls, distributions, subscriptions, redemptions.
• Document end-to-end workflows for alternative fund operations to build scale and efficiency.
• Manage and develop fund operations talent across offices.
• Participate in the Firm’s Valuation Committee for fair valuation and SEC compliance.
• Deliver accurate regulatory reporting with compliance and legal teams.
• Lead presentations with Fund Boards and align messaging with business stakeholders.
• Coordinate launch, merger, and closing of funds with legal and internal teams.
