Korn Ferry has been exclusively retained to lead the search for a Controller on behalf of a growth-oriented private equity firm focused on infrastructure and essential services. The Controller will oversee fund controllership and reporting, partnering with senior leadership, investors, and external providers.

The role emphasizes strengthening LP reporting, leveraging technology, and building a high-functioning fund finance team in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience in private markets.
• Deep understanding of private fund accounting, U.S. GAAP, ASC 946, fund economics, waterfalls, GP/LP allocations, financial reporting, audit, tax, and investor reporting.
• Strong hands-on understanding of fund administration processes and ability to operate at a detailed controllership level.
• Experience managing or transitioning third-party fund administrators is valuable.
• Proven ability to manage high transaction and reporting volume across multiple funds and vehicles.
• Experience implementing technology, reporting tools, automation, or process improvements within fund finance.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting and controllership across private equity, infrastructure, and co-investment vehicles.
• Oversee fund accounting, tax coordination, valuations, allocations, capital calls, distributions, audits, and fund reporting.
• Strengthen LP reporting capabilities with timely quarterly reporting and investor communications.
• Collaborate with Investor Relations and fundraising teams to support investor requests and disclosures.
• Manage relationship with external fund administrator.
• Advance technology and automation in fund finance and investor portals.
