Wellington Management seeks a Senior Fund Controller to oversee fund accounting, valuation, performance, and operations across mutual funds and other investment products. The role involves partnering with technology, custodians, auditors, and internal teams to deliver well-controlled, scalable processes and drive improvements.

The position emphasizes technical accounting expertise, analytical acumen, and a collaborative business-partner approach to manage complex issues and lead automation

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, information systems, or related discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in fund accounting, fund administration, or fund operations.
• Baseline knowledge of mutual funds, collective investment trusts, hedge funds, interval funds, and alternative investments.
• Understanding of GAAP and fund accounting principles.
• Baseline understanding of accounting for fixed income and common stock.
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience in a collaborative, team-based, results-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Progress toward MBA, CFA, is a plus.

Mansioni

• Fund Accounting & Operations: Oversight of accounting activities by third-party administrators; review trial balances, expense accruals, receivables and payables; investigate accounting exceptions; review pricing and valuation risks; analyze complex securities and derivatives; prepare valuation materials; monitor valuation trends; review performance returns.
• Reconciliation & Control: Oversee cash, position, valuation, and market value reconciliations; analyze exceptions and implement remediation; strengthen oversight processes; maintain documentation and audit readiness; develop dashboards.
• Operational Risk & Service Provider Oversight: Manage relationships with fund administrators, custodians, transfer agents; monitor service levels and control effectiveness; lead discussions to optimize standards; identify operational risks.
• Technology, Automation, & Process Improvement: Design automation solutions; develop dashboards and workflows; use data analytics to monitor risks; partner with Technology teams to modernize fund oversight; drive continuous improvement.
