Job summary

WhiteCap Workforce Solutions is seeking a senior fund accounting professional in Jersey City to support the CFO, COO and investment team across accounting, financial reporting, and controls in a fast-growing hedge fund.

You will oversee month-end NAV, reconciliations, complex instrument valuations, fee calculations, investor reporting, audits, and internal controls, while helping scale processes and maintain strong governance in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience at an asset manager, hedge fund, administrator, or public accounting firm.
• Prior supervisory or review experience strongly preferred.
• Strong technical accounting skills and familiarity with hedge fund structures.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Ability to operate in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversight and review of the month-end NAV process
• Supervision of cash and position reconciliations
• Valuation oversight across complex instruments
• Review of interest accruals and income allocations
• Management and performance fee calculations
• Partnership allocations and capital account statements
• Oversight of investor capital activity
• Coordination and management of the year-end audit process
• Maintaining and enhancing the internal control framework
• Preparation and review of client reporting deliverables
• Preparation of internal management reporting
• Oversight of regulatory filings
• Review of daily and monthly P&L estimates
• Process improvement initiatives and ad hoc projects
