Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Active or inactive CPA license.
• 8–10 years of experience in financial accounting, audit, or finance in alternative investment management.
• Experience with private credit, real estate, private equity, hedge funds, or publicly reporting funds.
• Strong NAV close experience and knowledge of valuation, fees, expenses, and performance reporting.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and investment company accounting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using Bloomberg.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Cross-functional collaboration across finance, investment, operations, tax, legal, and external service-provider teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly NAV close with the third-party administrator, focusing on illiquid assets, valuation, fees, and performance reporting.
• Oversee accounting and financial reporting for private credit funds and diversified alt investment structures.
• Control investment closing processes for illiquid assets across finance, treasury, accounting, and reporting.
• Coordinate with portfolio management, operations, tax, legal, treasury, financing, and external providers to resolve issues.
• Prepare analyses of investment pipeline, liquidity needs, and projected fund cash flows.
• Oversee fund treasury activities: capital calls, distributions, financing, and liquidity planning.
• Support design and implementation of accounting/reporting processes for new structures and asset classes.
• Monitor fund administrator performance against SLAs and KPIs.
• Lead external audit coordination and regulatory/debt covenant reporting.
• Own financial information for investor reports, capital statements, and Form 10-K/10-Q.
• Prepare and review financial materials for the Board.
• Respond to information requests from clients and consultants accurately and timely.
• Research new accounting pronouncements and assess impact on fund financials.
• Lead or coordinate alt funds finance projects, process improvements, and tech initiatives.
• Apply controls to reporting processes and identify efficiency improvements.
• Provide oversight to external service-provider teams; reporting lines may vary by engagement.
