Job summary

Sixth Street is seeking a Fund Accounting lead in Dallas, TX to support multiple investment funds. You will oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, investor reporting, and fund operations including capital calls and distributions.

The ideal candidate has 7-10+ years in accounting within public accounting, private equity, or fund administration, with strong Excel skills and CPA preferred. Experience with Python and large language models is a plus.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years accounting experience in public accounting, fund admin, or another private equity or investment management firm.
• Experience with alternative investments, private equity and partnership accounting, and fund administration are a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Strong accounting and Excel skills; CPA or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Experience with large language models & Python are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting responsibilities within the monthly, quarterly, annual closing cycles.
• Assist in oversight of the Funds’ Administrator.
• Oversight of investor reporting and requests.
• Manage fund operations including capital calls, distributions and line of credit activity.
• Assist in managing the fund audit process and research questions from auditors.
• Oversight of various compliance reports (e.g., credit facility, limited partnership agreement).
• Review of fund expense reporting and analysis.
• Develop and maintain efficient internal controls and business processes.
• Identify and help solve for critical accounting and reporting issues.
• Manage and perform special projects and analysis for firm leadership.
