Job summary

High Country Search Group represents a well-established private investment firm seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing finance and accounting team. You will gain exposure across fund accounting, financial reporting, investor reporting, tax, audit, valuations, and finance operations, working closely with senior staff and external fund administrators to ensure accurate, timely reporting.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of public accounting experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or progress toward CPA preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting fundamentals.
• Exposure to investment management, private equity, or fund accounting a plus.
• Tax experience is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
• Coordinate and improve close process with third-party fund administrators.
• Prepare quarterly investor capital allocations, financial statements, and partner capital statements.
• Coordinate capital calls and distributions.
• Work with external auditors during annual fund audits.
• Assist with tax matters including K-1s and 1099s.
• Manage accounting for co-investments and other vehicles.
• Coordinate regulatory filings and compliance reporting.
• Support investor communications and annual investor meeting materials.
• Assist with private investment valuation processes.
• Partner with teams on ad hoc reporting and analysis.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and controls.
