Job summary

FIS is seeking a Fund Accountant for a remote role to service our clients. You will perform daily and monthly tasks, including cash/position reconciliations, GAV work papers, onboarding, and AML/KYC checks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics, with at least 3 years in middle office or hedge fund accounting. Proficiency in MS Office and advanced Excel is required; familiarity with Geneva and VPM is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
• Minimum 3 years of middle office or fund accounting experience with hedge funds or hedge fund administrators
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and advanced Excel; knowledge of securities and fixed income assets; experience with accounting systems such as Geneva and VPM.

Responsibilities

• Process shareholder activity and reconcile to the TA platform.
• Prepare and reconcile cash and positions daily with custodians or third parties.
• Prepare monthly GAV work papers and complete month-end reconciliations.
• Assist with client onboarding, including loading tax lots, cash balances, and trial balances.
• Support year-end audits with backup documentation.
