Job summary

Humanoid is seeking a Senior Functional Safety Engineer to join our Systems Engineering team. You will lead safety lifecycle activities and develop safety-critical subsystems for industrial and home robots.

This role demands deep experience with functional safety standards, safety case development, and strong cross-functional collaboration to certify complex systems. You will communicate safety concepts clearly to executives and engineers alike, ensuring robust safety across sensors,

Qualifications

5+ years experience developing safety-critical systems.
Proven record applying functional safety standards to embedded systems.
Experience with robotics safety standards (ISO 10218, ISO 13482, ISO 3691-4).
Experience with safety case development and certification.
Hands-on design, implementation and validation for mobile robots or dynamic systems.

Responsibilities

Lead or support safety lifecycle activities from concept to validation and certification.
Develop safety assurance arguments for subsystems and products.
Define safety concepts and support detailed technical development of safety-critical systems.
Collaborate across disciplines to define and validate safety requirements for sensors, controllers, and actuators.
Perform safety analyses such as FMEA, FMEDA, and FTA.
Create and maintain safety documentation: risk assessments, safety concept, SRS, verification and validation plans, test reports.
Ensure compliance with regulations and international standards.
