Location: Ghent, East Flanders, BE

Your Role

As a Functional Analyst within our European Development Center, you act as a technical expert, ensuring that our requirements are accurately translated to our external partners. This role does not involve coding. However, you will oversee development activities to ensure everything is delivered in line with the agreed requirements.

Your Responsibilities

• Formulate software and user interface specifications based on the requirements you gather from stakeholders (business, architects, security, etc.).
• Communicate these requirements to our external partners for development and testing.
• Take ownership of your development tracks with software suppliers. Prioritize correctly and follow up on progress together with the product owner to ensure deliverables meet our requirements and standards.
• Act as a technical expert for the products you develop. Provide third‑line support by analyzing issues, proposing countermeasures, and ensuring implementation with the appropriate priority.
• Keep up with technological evolutions in your field and propose how they can be incorporated into our developments.

Your Profile

• You hold a Master’s degree in Electronics or IT.
• You have more than 5 years of experience in a software development environment.
• You have a strong interest in — or a proven track record with — topics such as the Internet of Things, machine‑to‑machine communication, and app/web development.
• You are a team player, driven to find solutions for technical requirements and specific client inquiries.
• You are capable of conceptual thinking.
• You have an innovative mindset.
