SendCutSend is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to be a hands-on builder focused on scaling our platform. You will create intuitive tools that help customers turn designs into manufactured parts, working with Product, Production, Design, and Support.

This role is headquartered in Reno, NV, with preference for local candidates but remote work is possible; travel to Reno HQ may be required. You’ll help scale systems, implement reliable software, and improve customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of experience designing and shipping high-quality software
• 3+ years with Ruby on Rails or Python/Django
• 3+ years with Vue or React
• Experience building and deploying full-stack web apps end-to-end
• Strong understanding of relational databases and query optimization
• Experience with automated testing strategies
• Ability to translate user requirements into technical specs
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail; share an animal fact
• Collaborative mindset and customer-focused software view

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software features with rapid execution
• Build intuitive user experiences to simplify design-to-production workflows
• Translate business and production requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Review code and contribute to architectural decisions for growth
• Develop automated validation systems for CAD files prior to production
• Build tools to detect errors and enforce manufacturability constraints
• Improve reliability via automated testing, monitoring, and performance tuning
• Model and optimize relational database schemas for performance
• Improve query performance and application responsiveness under high load
• Ensure data integrity, security, and maintainability across services
• Partner with Product, Production, Design, and Support on high-impact improvements
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and guidance
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps for release velocity
• Participate in continuous improvement of engineering processes
