Job summary

Xebia, a global AI-first engineering partner, seeks a senior fullstack engineer with a backend focus to design scalable backend services and craft Go/TypeScript stacks. You will develop APIs, implement complex business workflows, and ensure data reliability with PostgreSQL in a fast-growing AI environment.

You will establish engineering practices, guardrails for AI-generated code, and participate in architectural decisions while collaborating with a skilled team to deliver production-ready,

Qualifications

• Senior-level fullstack software engineer with backend focus.
• Strong Go backend experience.
• Very good TypeScript knowledge.
• Solid PostgreSQL experience.
• Hands-on API design and development.
• Experience with complex workflows or large state machines.
• Strong automated testing, especially end-to-end tests.
• Experience in AI-first or AI-assisted development environments.
• Ability to establish guardrails around AI-generated code.
• Sound technical decision-making as requirements evolve.
• Good English (min. B2).
• EU work region and work permit required.

You will be:

• designing and developing backend services and APIs using Go,
• building fullstack solutions using Go and TypeScript,
• designing and implementing complex business workflows and state machines,
• working with PostgreSQL and ensuring data consistency and reliability,
• developing automated tests, particularly end-to-end tests, to ensure application quality,
• establishing engineering practices and guardrails for AI-generated code,
• contributing to technical decisions and shaping architecture in an evolving environment,
• collaborating with the team to deliver scalable, production-ready solutions.

Your profile:

• senior-level experience in fullstack software engineering, with a strong backend focus,
• strong commercial experience with Go for backend development,
• very good knowledge of TypeScript,
• solid experience with PostgreSQL,
• hands-on experience designing and developing backend APIs,
• experience implementing complex workflows, business processes, or large state machines,
• strong experience with automated testing, particularly end-to-end testing,
• experience working in an AI-first or AI-assisted software development environment,
• ability to establish reliable engineering practices and testing guardrails around AI-generated code,
• ability to make sound technical decisions when requirements and architecture are still evolving,
• good command of English (min. B2).
• Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

Nice to have:

• experience in fintech, particularly with financial workflows, lending, leasing, or payments,
• experience developing AI agents or agentic workflows,
• experience building systems that combine automated workflows with human decision-making and approval steps,
• experience with Kubernetes and running backend services in a cluster,
• experience with GCP,
• familiarity with Kafka and Redis or Redis-compatible databases.
