Job summary

Compassion International, Inc. is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Web Developer (Developer III) to build and maintain global applications.

You will own features end-to-end, from requirements through architecture, implementation, testing, and delivery, while collaborating with teams across the United States, Latin America, and beyond. The role emphasizes hands-on development, high autonomy, and alignment with safeguarding and code quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in full-stack web development.
• Strong frontend skills with HTML/CSS/JS.
• Experience with PHP/Laravel, APIs, databases.
• End-to-end software design and implementation.
• Understanding of servers, networking, and architecture.
• Ability to conduct code reviews and explain decisions.
• Ownership mindset, mentorship, and collaboration across teams.
• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, deploy, document, and maintain full-stack apps across frontend, backend, and data layers.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical specifications.
• Design and refine application logic to meet user needs.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code and execute tests and debugging.
• Support cloud-based and third-party apps throughout their lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the Americas to deliver solutions.
• Estimate effort, communicate progress, and manage risks and blockers.
• Mentor developers and contribute to engineering standards.
