Job summary

MORSE Corp, a small, employee-owned company with offices in Cambridge, MA; Arlington, VA; and Seattle, WA, seeks a Lead Full Stack Software Engineer to guide agile teams on DoD-focused projects, delivering cutting-edge, cloud-based web applications.

You will lead sprints, mentor engineers, and implement frontend in React with Python backend, containerize with Docker/Kubernetes, and collaborate with infra for scalable cloud deployment; US citizenship and clearance eligibility required; onsite or

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (Secret or Top Secret)
5+ years of software engineering experience with 1+ years leading technical teams
Experience with React and front end development
Experience with Python
Knowledge of Cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure, or GCP
Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with Agile development
BS or MS in computer science or equivalent degree, or significant professional experience

Responsibilities

Lead Agile teams of 3-8 engineers and scientists
Plan sprints, delegate tasking, and drive technical execution
Communicate with customers to elicit requirements, provide updates, and iterate through technical decisions
Develop and maintain web applications hosted on cloud infrastructure
Collaborate with infrastructure engineers to containerize applications for cloud deployment
Implement web page UIs from design documents
Write backend APIs that interact with cloud services
Work closely with team members to design, develop, and deploy software applications
Stay up-to-date with the latest web development and cloud computing trends
Contribute to the development of new code bases that are heavily object-oriented, extensible, and maintainable
