Job summary

MORSE Corp in Arlington, VA is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to lead AI/ML capabilities, decision systems, and mission planning applications. You will set the technical vision, guide multi-disciplinary teams, and manage programs from concept to delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have US citizenship with ability to obtain a security clearance, 10+ years in R&D, and a strong track record in software, cloud, and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance. Active Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI is preferred.
• Master's degree or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in R&D, with a focus on AI/ML, software, and decision systems
• Proven leadership skills, with a track record of successfully managing high-performing technical teams
• Deep understanding of software development principles, methods, and tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to absorb complex technical information quickly
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and infrastructure is nice to have

Responsibilities

• Set the technical vision and direction for programs, collaborating with internal technical staff and external customers
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams developing algorithmic, software, cloud, and data solutions
• Manage program execution, ensuring schedule and budget adherence, and overseeing successful program delivery
• Cultivate strong relationships with external partners and stakeholders, advocating for MORSE's technology and services
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding our portfolio and driving long-term growth
• Provide technical oversight and guidance to program team members
