Samaritan's Purse is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join the Information Technology team on-site in Boone, NC. The role focuses on leading design and development of scalable software across web, mobile, APIs, and data layers, applying modern engineering practices and AI tools.

You will collaborate with product owners to clarify requirements, balance user experience with technical integrity, and mentor others while owning the full lifecycle from deployment to incident response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and five or more years of related experience

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality product features across web and mobile interfaces, APIs, services, and data layers
• Collaborate with product owners and designers to clarify requirements and balance user experience, business objectives, and technical integrity
• Mentor developers by modeling strong software engineering practices and fostering a culture of learning and quality
• Take shared ownership of the full product lifecycle including deployment and incident response
