Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. in Seattle seeks a Software Development Engineer for the Amazon IVS Control Plane to build scalable, secure systems powering IVS. You will craft customer-facing experiences and collaborate across teams to deliver low-latency, interactive live video features.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience on systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• Experience building web apps with React and modern web tech.
• Frontend and backend development experience.
• Experience building backend services with Go or similar languages.
• Experience designing UIs with multilingual support.
• Experience with frontend security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop intuitive IVS Console user interfaces.
• Develop scalable backend services and public APIs.
• Build distributed systems for live video resource management using TypeScript, Go, or similar.
• Define infrastructure using AWS CDK.
• Collaborate with engineers, product, UX, and data scientists.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and security at AWS scale.
• Apply engineering best practices for testing, performance, observability, and code quality.
• Coordinate with other AWS teams to integrate shared services and experiences.
• Participate in code reviews and on-call rotations.
