Job summary

Adobe is seeking an engineer to build services for the creative professional and enhance the backend for Adobe Stock. You will contribute to scalable ingestion and delivery systems and work in a team focused on reliability, performance, and quality.

The role emphasizes building microservices with Node.js/TypeScript, GraphQL, and cloud-native architectures in a distributed environment. Strong CS fundamentals and Agile mindset are valued, with opportunities to grow within a collaborative culture

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven experience developing consumer-facing web applications.
• BS in Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and comfortable with ES6, Express, & Webpack.
• Experience building microservices in Node.js, Typescript and/or PHP.
• Experience implementing JavaScript techniques, such as modules, async/await, compiling and bundling, and server rendering.
• Experience building and maintaining services using GraphQL and familiarity with GraphQL federation.
• Experience maintaining highly available, fault-tolerant, and distributed services, including familiarity with technologies and architectures like microservices, managed services, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, New Relic, and Splunk.
• Knowledge of how to apply computer science principles to real-world problems, including algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, and data flow and storage.
• Strong familiarity with functional and object-oriented programming
• Experience with quality-driven development and tools, writing your own unit tests and integration tests
• Experience with Agile development processes
• Love to learn new things, work hard, and have fun.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain highly scalable ingestion and delivery services for the Adobe Stock ecosystem.
• Collaborate with the team on architectural design discussions and feature development.
• Debug issues across multiple systems and share knowledge with peers.
• Delight customers through robust, efficient backend services.
