Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack .NET Modernization Developer to lead the technical transformation of a mission-critical public sector licensing and eligibility platform. This role focuses on transitioning legacy ASP.NET architecture to modern .NET (6/7/8/10), RESTful APIs, Azure cloud services, and React-based UI components. Working in an agile environment, the position involves leading architectural decisions, cloud integration, data migration, and delivering scalable solutions from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the modernization of core licensing and eligibility applications from legacy ASP.NET to modern .NET and Azure-based architectures.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs, API-first integrations, and services.
• Develop cloud-native solutions using Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and associated Azure technologies.
• Manage the SQL Server platform, including data architecture, T-SQL performance tuning, schema migrations, and data cleanup.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for automated testing, deployment, and release management.
• Build and integrate React-based UI components within existing application frameworks.
• Develop and maintain reporting solutions using SSRS and Power BI.
• Participate in AI integration initiatives, including Azure Agentic AI services, Copilot tooling, and chatbot features.
• Conduct code reviews, maintain system documentation and runbooks, and perform root-cause analysis for production issues

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of professional .NET development experience using C#, ASP.NET MVC, and Web API.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience migrating production applications from legacy ASP.NET to modern .NET (.NET 6, 7, 8, or 10).
• Production SQL Server experience with stored procedures, T-SQL tuning, schema migrations, and data cleanup.
• Hands-on Azure experience with App Services, Function Apps, deployment pipelines, and configuration management.
• 5+ years delivering software in Agile (Scrum or Kanban) environments using Azure DevOps or GitHub.
• Proven experience independently debugging production issues and building RESTful APIs consumed by external systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills

• 3+ years of experience building React components within existing applications.
• 3+ years of experience in Power BI or SSRS reporting development.
• 3+ years of experience with government, healthcare, or public-sector systems, including understanding of compliance, auditability, and PII data security protocols.
• 3+ years of experience or familiarity with ADA/WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
• 3+ years of experience with middleware platforms such as Boomi or MuleSoft.
• 3+ years of exposure to Azure Agentic AI services or integration of AI-driven features in production applications.
• Exposure to .NET 10.

Additional Details

• Work Arrangement: Hybrid schedule requiring on-site presence Tuesday through Thursday in Atlanta, GA, along with mandatory in-person attendance for key team meetings and milestones.
• Location Requirement: Candidates must be physically located in Georgia.
• Schedule: Standard full-time schedule (8 hours per day, 5 days per week).
