Job summary

Peer Consulting Resources Inc. seeks a Senior Full Stack .NET GIS Developer ArcGIS Pro in New York, NY. You will design, develop, and deploy full‑stack GIS solutions using .NET, ArcGIS Pro, and SQL Server while leading architecture and SDLC activities.

You will build and integrate GIS tools with ArcGIS Maps SDK for .NET, Python, ArcPy, Arcade, and ModelBuilder, and work with RESTful APIs and cloud services on Azure. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of professional full-stack .NET development experience.
• Experience designing GIS solutions using ArcGIS Pro and/or ArcMap.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement full-stack solutions using .NET technologies and SQL Server.
• Lead architecture, design, coding, integration, releases, and production support across the SDLC.

Job Title Senior Full Stack .NET GIS Developer ArcGIS Pro

Job Location New York, NY

Project Duration Approximately 18 months, through March 31, 2028

Required Hours Up to 35 hours per week

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, GIS, or a related field.

• At least 8 years of professional full-stack .NET development experience.

• Strong hands-on experience with C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, .NET Core, .NET 9.0, Entity Framework, MVC, SQL Server, and Azure.

• At least 4 years of experience designing and developing GIS solutions using ArcGIS Pro and/or ArcMap.

• Hands-on experience with ArcGIS Maps SDK for .NET, Python, ArcPy, Arcade, and ModelBuilder.

• Strong experience with the ESRI platform, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, ArcMap, and SDE Data Store.

• Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs.

• Experience working with geospatial data types in SQL Server, Oracle/Oracle Spatial, and PostgreSQL/PostGIS.

• Strong front-end development knowledge using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React or Angular.

• Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, secure development standards, and application lifecycle practices.

• Experience with Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and release management.

• Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, organization, and stakeholder-management skills.

• Ability to work independently, guide development teams, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.

• Ability and willingness to attend an in-person interview in New York City and work onsite Monday-Friday for the first three months.

• Work authorization: Green Card or U.S. Citizen preferred. If suitable candidates are unavailable, other work authorization can be discussed.

Project Scope and Core Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement full-stack solutions using Microsoft .NET technologies, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, .NET Core, .NET 9.0, Entity Framework, MVC, JavaScript frameworks, and SQL Server.

• Lead and participate in application architecture, system design, coding, integration, release, and production support activities throughout the SDLC.

• Design, develop, and enhance ESRI ArcGIS Pro applications and custom extensions for editing linear and point-based spatial features.

• Build custom GIS tools, scripts, and workflows using ArcGIS Maps SDK for .NET, Python, ArcPy, Arcade, and ModelBuilder.

• Develop and optimize relational and spatial database structures, queries, and data-access components.

• Build scalable cloud solutions using Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Functions.

• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and connect GIS solutions with enterprise systems and third-party platforms.

• Process, analyze, convert, validate, and maintain spatial data from multiple sources, including quality assurance and data updates.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, interface designers, project managers, and technical teams to refine requirements and deliver solutions.

• Guide application developers, participate in code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and promote architecture, security, and development best practices.

• Create and maintain technical designs, workflows, support documentation, and user guides, and conduct knowledge-transfer sessions.
